Standardized UNIX Exit Codes

Code	Meaning	Description
0	Success	Command completed successfully; all verification gates passed.
1	Verification Failure	Work completed but failed automated quality checks (tests, linter).
2	Policy Violation	Action was blocked fail-closed by security policy engine.
3	Budget Exhaustion	Mission exceeded one or more 10-dimensional hard resource bounds.
4	Crash / Infrastructure	Unexpected runtime crash, storage corruption, or system failure.
5	Configuration Error	Invalid configuration schema or monotonic violation.
